I like my nord II rack. If you have a good midi controller then a rack is fine IMO. The Nord III i heard is harder to tweak than the II, but maybe worth the extra sounds, if you can pay for it. If i had the money i would have gone for the Nord III.

nordlead is not an analog synthesizer
it's "virtual analog" and totally numeric synth

There is some truth in the fact synths are not as needed due to controllers and softsynths...however nothing beats having a hardware synth sitting there when you wake up in the morning ready for action...no crashing or any of that torment...and standalone its great to use...just you the keyboard and the knobs... |

hmm... i've tested the nl3 and the nl2x and like the nl3 best, but it was only for a brief time.
so you say the nl2 is better soundingthan the nl3? since the nl2x has better DACs it should be the best of the bunch...

well mate at least ive played several times with the nl3 in live and ... i prefer more the crunshie sound from the nl2 eheheh just clean and perfect sound , without FX on it .. ready to separate brain cell's eheheh
but i dont say nl3 is good to .. for my style i prefer the nl3 .. and one TI polar access virux , for now its what i like using:)\

yeah go for the virus ti polar! its damm good synth, midi controll with templates, audio interface and also good software for working with a sequencer.
i just started saving money for....
