you don t need a nord except if you want that sound, not all artists use a nord, just try with vst and don t let production stop you from writing tracks . |

i think nords are abit over rated and not as many artists use it as you might think, a friend had 1 and it was a twat to save patches on it, he used for gathering dust and holding his cups of tea on it before trading it and going vst. besides its only VIRTUAL analog like the virus, it may aswell be a digital plugin, it didnt sound 2 special to me lol. old vintage analog synths are betta than these new computer chip analog modeling crap, another friend picked up an old roland at a car boot 4 about £20 not so long ago, i think it sounds so much more warm than these new synths.still vsti's sounds very similar to them and is so much more flexible and easier 2 use init.its only a sound no matter how or what made it and its not what you use its how u use it. |

Disco dsp is a nice vst
Got a nordrack 2 week ago but im not really pleased with the sound
It sounds like plastic, too sterile
For electro leads and basses its nice to use but i dont think its really great
Thinking about selling it again

You've only had i for two weeks and your already thinking about selling it??? Thats crazy.
I love my Nordelad 2. I love it because it is NOT sterile and i find it to be one of the warmer sounding digital synth out there! Yes is CAN be really brigt if you want it to but it can also be warm and big sounding.
It really has a nice character wich i like. Very solid sounding.
And its not only about the sounds to. I find that having a real instrument with real knobs and buttons is far more inspiring to use than looking at a pc screen and cliking on a mouse.

its the same as digital plugins, plugins are virtual analog and your nord is too, same concept, its still all microchips n shit.some vst's can produce more in depth sounds than a nord, more possibilitys, more options and flexibility. yes mayb if real knobs and buttons are your thing lol in that case my radium midi controller has real labeled knobs and sliders assignable any vst synth i please. lol. whats it like to save patches on your nord? easy? as easy as vst? |

why to look good and ego? u'd b betta off owning 4 or 5 decent softsynths and midi controller and a pair of shades(just to look good) for the same £. nice to own why? not as if its that good or outstanding.it'd b a lot nicer too have an old ANALOG synth that produce real analog noises because whats the point in having it outboard if its DIGITAL, its missing the whole point of it being outboard in the first place. |
