albino 3 kinda rocks in my opinion. played around with a nord lead. the sounds are lush, but kind of thin, imo.

i have a korg z1 which has pretty good sounds but a bitch to program, and way too heavy to take to a gig. if i got a synth tomorrow it would probably be a virus ti rack, or a radias. still, though, albino 3 comes close minus the hands-on (and no cables!)

I think it really depends on your skill level in actually crafting your sounds with the soft synths you already have, as opposed to being a preset junkie (not that there's anything wrong with that)

If you've tried the Nord and you like it, I'd get it if you think you're ready though..I haven't had the money to buy one for a while but I've been trying them all over the place..great synth!

i think hardware synths are easier to use than soft... and you have mostly better sound at beginning working on hardware...
on software you need to work more to make sound really nice           http://www.weirdandfreak.up.pl

The disco dsp discovery is pretty close to the nord. Not so expensive either. But offcourse, it's not the hardware.

its the hard work that counts! plus its not that hard, you can assign the knobs to a controller, although that can be kind of a pain           Gamma Riders EP out now on iTunes and Amazon.com!
