Does your midi in and out show up as emulated? Like Midi in(Emulated). If yes, Cut the ignoreportfilter file from the MIDI port enabler folder inside Cubase SX's folder and move it one folder upwards. That folder is the cubase sx folder. Now you can choose the non emulated ones. If you want the emulated ones not to show up, then go to the device setup and when you see the emulated ones change the yes into no in the show option.

Try this to see if it's ok. Have a kick playin every 4/4. Draw a chord on on the Nord Lead's midi track and make it as long as the kick pattern. Select any sound you do not use. Press the ARP and select UP for example. Change the Rate to 0(important). Arp range doesn't matter, put it somewhere in the middle. Press SHIFT and then SPECIAL 2 times untill it displays 2.of or 2.1 or 2.2., etc. Now use the up and down arrows next to the display and choose 2.4 . Press SHIFT again. Save the program. Now have the chord and the kick play together. Do they play together?
If not go to sync setup in the transport menu and go the the down left corner where it says send midi clock. There, check only the midi out of your soundcard. Try again. Is it fixed? If that doesn't work either, you are on your own.

Do what analog Experience said

Chech the midi options and get the perfect sinc usig the midi delay (put the nord lead playing a sound with no Attack, put some notes at the same time of kick, put play to listen to kick+nord, sinchronize them and find your perfect midi delay value). Once you find this value it will always be about the same, u don't have to do this again if u start new song, just put same value

Good Luck
