The demos sound very nice, there is a new rich, smooth texture in the synth.
Having said that, there are not many interesting features in 2013, a year where soft synths have set quite high standards on features and sound..."who cares?" I hear you say, well considering the NL4 costs so much, I do for starters.

Sounds very smooth and rich and fat and still sharp.. But price should be just little bit over NL2X because not so much more to diving there..

sounds very thick and creamy.
very nice for live applications with that performance mode, can make half track with it and need only beats and fx from ableton to go with it.
price is really steep though..

expensive but i think it s around same price as the old nords when selling new.. with inflation this could be cheaper or around the same i guess.
maybe it was a sign i didn t buy that nord mod cause this nord seems/will probabyl be more to today standar soundwise in term of artficats.(thats a part of the charm of the old ones though )
would be nice to hear it dry to see if it s really far from the old ones or not..
i wonder why they mention 2x oversampling in their sell speech, oversampling don t mean sound quality anyway but some plugs can oversample a lot more than this so found it strange they mention that . |
