The ease of which you can assign (and see immediately) paramaters to this thing means I am programming patches much quicker than I ever have on my virus for example. Not sure of NL 2 (X) programming is this fast?? This means I'm spending more time experimenting than anything else and less time trying to build a sonic picture in my head by viewing midi cc charts. (lets face it, sound design can become a method of process after hours infront of monitors)

The sound is strange?? Sonic character is somewhat controlled (not that raw) but sometimes if really surprises me and comes up with the goods... again in a cold and controlled tone. Again, I find it faster to reach this sweet spot than with access but not so sure with NL 2.

Definately this is a synth that you need to automate many parameters to really fell the true power of it. The good thing is, it doesnt choke when you start twisting a lot of knobs (like virus can do at times??)

If there are any more people out there who have been using Nord Lead 3 for PsyTrance production, please post us your personal experiences with this synth.

Had it for over a year and came up with a couple of sounds off of it that stayed in tracks. I like my MS2k more. Everything about the NL3 is, uh, thin. Clear, elegant, pristine, but gets trampled by other elements in my tracks. I find myself having to wrestle with just about every sound out of the NL3 to get it to sound right. Then I pull up Synth1 VST and wonder why I bought the red devil in the first place.

*shrug*

I'm selling mine to buy a TI Polar. Woo portable studios.
