and while I'm at it,
How do you think it compares to the Virus?
Finally found a Nord Rack (mk1) for 350€. I don't know if it has the expansion card, will ask the dude.

it sound nothing like a virus , it sound better, why do you think they added Fx on the virus and there is none on the nord.. joking ..
this is more about taste..both sound good and complement well imo

I make music ranging from 148bpm to 175 (yeah, I know). Also make some ambient. I do love the sound of the demos and songs I know that it was used in. Something about the brightness or something.
Read somewhere that the mk1 sounds better then mk2. Some people do say that about the Virus as well... Is is true or just down to the converters used (like on the Virus)?
It's great that it sounds different, that's precisely what I'm looking for. I like tweaking the two Lfo Knobs simultaneously with the discovery (amount and rate), for some real mad sounds. Didn't really like the FM on the plug-in (but can't say if it's anywhere near the original and seriously doubt it).

i think you will like it , it s great for underground stuff, goa.. the nord fm was one of my fav ,discovery fm was different from what i remember.
in the past here more or less everyone was saying the nord fm piss on the virus..but i think virus can sound good too..
Man. I wish Rop Papen would just go ahead and make Albino into a synth. That would just be WOW!

Yeah, who doesn't like that red and white thing?
But unfortunately, Rob and Peter (the guy from LinPlug) didn't come to terms on that particular subject, and Albino has been discontinued very recently. I still think it's one of the best featured, easy-to-use, with one of the nicest interfaces I've seen... Either that or I've grown to really like it - and I still use it to this day, a lot!
are you liking the nord, makus ? i'm also on this dilemma, i wanna buy either the Nord or a C, but i think i'll go for the C anyway since it will take me much more time to learn and i never liked discovery's interface, saddly..
