What should it be guys? Nord Lead 2X, Virus, or should I even get a hardware synth? I want something aggresive, raw, with pure warm analogue goodness. What should it be?

i think if your going for "pure analog goodness" i would suggest you get an analogue synth! there are quite a few cheaper entry level options these days. peace |

that sound more like the nord or a analog synth..
if you like to tweak knobs and like the sound of a specific hardware synth go for it, no software will replace this.
i would get a nord second hand.. and a analog synth like maybe the studio electronics boomstar or ms20 |

first synth i ever owned....rich in analog mate,, great for those syncro sounds that prophets r famouse for and raw as fuk...addmityly at the time it was over priced for its use...800 qid i paid 4 back in 2007...how ever it does come with editing software do go deeper within the sound..unision and voices pitch lfo mods etc...
few years later on i did get a virus Ti and fuking loved it!

well though about the pro12 if you get one of the cw cards then you can have it and much more but of course not in a neat box with knobs. (i do like it though for the prices they go for now).
if it is between nord and virus i say nord

For aggressive raw sounds the Nord is your synth.
The number 1 tool for all your squelchy sounds as well.
Virus is great for Progressive stabs and pads. |

virus blew my mind away with the pads it could do....shame about the onboard fx tho,, phaser etc could of been a better quality and had more options for the price

It seems the Nord Rack 2x is the way to go, eh? I own many of the good software synths, but I feel like it's time to upgrade. Nord Rack 2x looks like it would be perfect for dark psy trance, or anything at all for that matter. Thanks guys
