Separate sounds? What you mean? There are 4 outs, 1 and 2 most likely your stereo out1. Midi channel you set up like told in manual. Fx's you apply after. Drums sounds, like all other categories of sounds are in certain soundbanks. All told in manual. Concentrate on the book. If i would go into depth abt how to.... Answering your question, i would have to see in the manual. I have rack2 and use it in tracks. By the way, you can load sounds from discovery disco dsp into nl and viseversa. Good luck.           http://soundcloud.com/vipal

You have to record them and use the audio files

I don't have nord lead but I own other synths.

What is the problem with recording an audio file, saving a patch on your Nord Lead and keeping midi track?
If you will want to make any changes (notes, velocity etc.) you just need to load a patch and do whatever you want.

You don't have to bounce tracks from synth when you write a track, but you have to be aware its polyphony.
But when you'll want to make a mixdown you will have to do it.

Personally I prefer working with audio files than running synths live, it gives some more possibilities

I have NL2 but I don't really understand what you are trying to achieve.
The Nord is 4 times multitrimbal, so you can play up to 4 channels simultaneously.
The Nord has 4 audio outputs, which functions as either 4 mono channels or 2 stereo channels.
Pressing the 'shift' + 'out mode' button you can configure the output settings for each of its channels (A,B,C,D).
You can route channel A,B to STEREO output 1, and channel C,D to STEREO output 2.
Or you can configure each channel to have its own MONO output, A goes to output 1, B to 2, C to 3 and D to 4.

Thx Djones for answer , connection is good , thats not deal , my problem is how to layer sounds in DAW, just tell me how you create track, how you layer your sounds , how you save them in daw , i connect midi I\O and have sound but i cant save sound to Channel (Bass- in this case or Kick or Snare or whatever you want) There is Midi Slots in Cubase like 16 Slots ,
1 Slot is for One sound i guess , but track cant have just 16 Slots , How you layer with Sounds your track , whats the point of this , i dont understand that thing about saving Sound to be there, actually one way to save is to record Sound , to play on keybord or just to place Midi notes in Editor then play and there it goes but whats with Midi Slots , just explain me how you make tracks with NL . I think i m now clear and you all kknow what i mean and need in this case ! THX ALL !

you can either bounce to audio as you go or get an editor that has a patch editor, so you can save the sounds with total recall if you happen to change your mind in the future or want to keep your precious sounds for later usage or reference.

there's some things to look around, like rekon audio's editor for instance. take a look. cheers
