In the "Device Setup" window of Cubase, go to "VST Multitrack" and make sure "Release ASIO in background" is unticked.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

It disconnects Cubase from the soundcard whenever Cubase is not the foreground window. This allows other programs that need exclusive access to the soundcard to run properly, especially when Cubase is using ASIO drivers (which grab the card exclusvely) rather than the MME or DirectX drivers, which don't.

Sounds to me like Ziggznaut's problem is that when he switches to the Nord editor, Cubase stops playing, which is exactly what would happen if this option is ticked.

On the other hand, if you want to find out for yourself, click the '?' button on the top right of the VST Multitrack window, then click the option that you want help on.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
