Noob wanting to make psytrance; what to do?

Ok, I am not that much of a noob, lol! Here is what I want to do: I would like to create psytrance (dark, etc) using my PC.

Software I have:
Adobe Audition 2
Fruity Loops Studio 6 XXL (have no clue how to use it, any GOOD tutorial sites would be most helpful! Another note, I am updating to FL 7 XXL.)
Sound Forge 8 (gotta dig it up, haven't use it much since switching to Audition 2)

Experience: I am classically trained for the piano and have taken private lessons for about 12ish years. Note, I said classical piano instead of synthesizer!

Why do I want to make psytrance? Well, I have an abstract organic CGI animation that I would like to have some psytrance compliment it, otherwise it would have no audio, and I had wanted to learn for a while now and I figured that this was the time to do it!

If anyone could help me out, it would be most appreciative. I have tones in my head, it is just getting them out on my computer is what the issue is. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your reply. I searched the forums as the FAQ suggested, but never looked at the forums specific FAQ. Oopsey... Thanks for pointing out my error!

hi NITRO1250,

don't forget to look at SONAR 6 as well!

they also (like steinberg) got a smaller version (cheaper price but good features):

http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONARStudio/New.asp

you might want to try the demo before buying:

http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/kb20061101.asp

check out the demo and look if you like working with it, then consider buying.

best wishes,

Sonar 6 is good, you can Midi control everything on the interface, but seriously man for Making PsyTrance, you will never get the results that you can get from Cubase SX3 or Cubase 4......

I know, I have produced in both Cubase SX3 and Sonar 6 Producers Edition           [[[G|L|I|T|C|H]]]

Every time when you start your sentence with "I know, I have..." beware that your ego is typing and you're making your self look like a fool.

The more I know, the more I am aware of the fact that I don't know anything.           "It occurred to me by intuition, and music was the driving force behind that intuition. My discovery was the result of musical perception"

FL imo is by far the best program for electronic music. I know many softwares yet I remain in FL. Other softwares give the same control as FL but FL has a great workflow and its easy access to frequently used tricks in electronic music.
