ease ?
The genelec 6010a will sound less hyped, less bass.
But they will get you a much more honest picture of the sound except the bass.

I am trying to solve these kind of problems with a reference track. Pick one of my favorite track from specific style and with good sounding well balanced mix. Then I try to achieve same frequency balance on my mix. Sometimes spectrum analyzer is a good friend even if your monitors cannot reproduce some frequencies.

And room acoustics is more than good monitors so if you have free space and some money treat with your room first .           https://soundcloud.com/nebulosity

Yes. The logitec speakers would have an automatic EQ shape build in. mostly boosting the bass and treble levels. This can cause you to process the balance incorrectly. I use Yamaha HS7's and I just love my babies. One of my friends is an amateur producer and he uses logitec speakers. When I go to visit and start making music for the fun of it I realized its so easy to make something sound good on the logitec's

I thought it would be a rocking tune, but when I got home and played it on the yamaha's they just told me "what is this shit"

My point is that Monitors has a very flat frequency response so the way you EQ, compress and process your sounds is universally different. I also have to tell you that you should not expect getting good results will be easy. Monitors does not sound good at times, because no frequencies are emphasized. So you need to get used to the flat sound they produce.

However this will make you work harder to make the sounds sounding better, cause most of the times if your track sounds great on monitors... they will sound even better on listening systems.

Monitors is definitely the way to go if you want to create great sounding music.
(ps. and yes room treatment is also essential.)

I would say there is no huge improvement before room treatment. At least a bit of treatment can improve much more than any expensive monitor. Just make a measurment with REW and check your room before any expensive buy.           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden
