non-showing of the principal acts in the parties

parties after parties we have being getting no-showing of very good bands and djs....
what can the public do? and the promoters?
we know that many times it isn't the promoter's guilt, but sometimes we travel hundreds of km to see somebody and when we get into the party's door we find out that the "x" live or dj didn't come!!!!
many and many times...parasense, hallucinogen(3 times!!!!!) and many more....
WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT?

I can tell you for sure that this is the orgenizers fault !
They are publishing the names of the Artists b4 closing with them, and when they are not comming everybody blame the artists, when the orgenizers blame the artists for not comming too.
Stop blaming the artists

ok..... i agree that it can be an organizer fault...... but doesn't sound strange when an artist (in this case i'm referring to hallucinogen) is called 3 TIMES to come to a party, the artist confirms infos in his site and in the end he doesn't come??? one or maybe two times i can agree with you..... but three??? would the organizers be so irresponsible to promote the party as they have called the artist and simply they haven't, knowing that it already happened two times? why the artist have put infos in his site (in my opinion it happens when the artist totally confirms the gig... am i wrong?) as confirmed when maybe it isn't??
sometimes i think that he simply got a better deal...........

I can tell you that in simon's case it happens not only when he's supposed to come to brazil.
I can't count the times that he was supposed to play in Israel and didn't show up or sent the other twisted simon (gahary) to perform as himself without letting the people know about it.
In this case the problem is with the artist, in most cases the problem is in the orgenisers for publishing unclosed artists and hiding the fact that they are not coming.
Again a global desease I'm afraid |

well... in the last weekend (sept. 6, 7 and 8) we had the independence festival, where electric universe and alien project were booked and confirmed to play..... nobody of these two came..... boris sent an e-mail ON SEPT 7TH (that was the 2nd day of the festival), telling that he had health problems and couldn't come..... ari is (or was) in brazil but he simply didn't come..... sorry, but WTF of responsability is that???? who they think they r to have an attitude like that???? couldn't boris send an e-mail before just to give organizers time to book another artist????
sorry ari, but don't come with the story that it's only organizers fault..... some artists r simply irresponsible.... maybe they don't give a f*ck to some parties..... so why confirm the acts??? in the end only we (fans) lost with that attitude.... i was planning to move my ass to a place almost 2000km far away from my house mainly to see electric universe live act...... thanx god i didn't go.....
i'm starting to believe in ur words, nahimoff....
