Ok so n for the studio but I'm travelling overseas in March for 2.5 weeks in Japan and then a week in Malaysia.

I'd like to get a a set of noise cancelling headphones for the flights & trains etc.

I'm looking at over the head style, hate in ear headphones.

So far Sony has got my attention as my budget is around $100-150US.

Any others I should consider at that price?

Cheers

Bose are generally considered to be the best.

Bose is crap man its all marketing gimmicks and no real sound quality google this and you'll know in a second.

Senheiser and Audio Technica are both very nice audiophile brands.           "Whoever said the best things in life are free... obviously grew their own bud"

Read both the reviews i think you would be better off with the sennheisers since they have adequate bass which is important for the electronic music fans + the senns look really stylish.

I presently use the Sennheiser HD202 and couldn't be happier with them for the price.

Please do not buy bose they extremely over priced and sound bad.

Yes they are, but as far as noise cancellation headphones are concerned Bose beats them all with the QuietComfort 15 .

By a long shot!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

Actually none of all headphones deliver good quality sound as em give an image of band playing inside your head :) Except if you are not using device which simulates environments and positions. Mixing is quite impossible with headphones so that's a lot of money to be used for headphones IMO if this was music production related topic =)

+1 good choice sound is subjective so audition before buying if you can but the review looked quite positive if your planning to buy online.           "Whoever said the best things in life are free... obviously grew their own bud"

I kinda always find it interesting when people say this as I know a few mates who produce non-electronic & electronic music professionally who actually tend to use headphones bout 60-70% of the tim ein their studioo... as well read a good interview with Silent Horror who said in this he only really used headphones ot produce as he works on a ship, and his sound esp. in the last few years is one of the best in that sub-genre... guess it's very individual but I find it hard to listen tomusic on my stereo system, headohones make it so much more deeper and personal!           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!
