what's next...instead of using DJs we'll just have some office assistant that selects the tracks itself and plays them acording to the amount of people and the motion on the dancefloor....naaaah

This exists already and has been used in clubs in england to research if it would work... and it did.
ps. the software talked about in this thread does not analyse the track. just buyer and listener behaviour based on otherwise gathered information (sales, polls, listening behaviour on music related e-commerce sites and lots more parameters like age, job, ...)
