with today's powerfull pc's and amazing breaktrough software you can do EVERYTHING that you can do on hardware, on the PC.
thats a fact.
some ppl may say its not the same bla bla bla...
hardware is more quality bla bla bla...
its not true.
if u know what u r doing u can do everything on the PC.
well, let me add to this one:
been there, done that, bought the mug with the cubase logo on it, lost it, bought a new mug with logic logo on it....

i think that everything that you can make with hardware you can achive that in software. but it's a bit more difficult and complex |

You can certainly compose electronic music using computer only, but IMO, there's nothing like a hardware synth. I haven't heard any softsynth with really deep filters.
BTW - Regarding Cosma, has anyone seen the article about him in Kolbo, ppl from around haifa, especially. There's a photo of him playing a Virus Indigo. Has he moved to hardware?

the biggest difference i can see with computers vs analog is the warmer sound analog generates. technology has blew past that now. somehow i find myself believing with computers anyone can be a musician. theres no real musical talent needed other than creativity. your not really playing an instrument yannO.
im not criticising i use computers. but i am a musician, mostly electric music has shown itself as ones ability to produce, mix and eq.
