I don't think that the technical part is harder to learn for women. I've started 2 years ago producing music and just one year for psytrance. I do know a lot of men who have major problems with good EQ and mastering. I love to be a producing mom and also a working mother and I determined to be much better in the future (I know for sure). A lot of men put women into cages.

But I do know that I'm not a stereotype women. I do like boxing and other things men do. A real women is a independent women!

This is a pretrack I'm working with:

Haven't done a lot of EQ (you will hear resonance in some parts).

I don't think anyone meant that is was 'harder' for women, rather that they tend to be less interested in technical stuff. This can be seen everywhere - universities have always had trouble attracting women to technical disciplines etc.

The track sounds great, uplifting but no cheese and full power.
Since you posted it I assume its ok to give some constructive criticism? It needs structure so the listener can feel how it builds energy..I would say add breaks, short proggy sections and swooshes so one can anticipate the longer breaks. I don't mean it should be formulaic, just that the listener needs a bit of guidance or it gets very hard to dance...

Rock on!

I agree.

Thanks for listening btw.!!:) It is still a pretrack so I still have to add things like more sfx, swooshes, pads, intro/outro, breaks. How does the kick/bass sound?

I still haven't got good speakers so that's a big problem.

Simple: in most cases, but once again, exceptions are always there, women prefer focusing on the composition part instead of the technical production part, while at the mean time I noticed men go crazy over figuring out technical issues, like fully understanding eq-ing... Makes sense?
Peace.

You are generalising and playing on stereotypical generalities.

My girlfriend is a fully qualified sound engineer and also is a very technical woman elsewhere, she enjoys electronics amongst other things.

You may prefer arrangement to technical stuff but that doesnt mean all women do, just like men enjoy technical stuff but not them all, i have been on both sides of that fence.

After 5 years at college and uni studying music technology i found there was about 30-70% split in attendees with the Majority of the women being "techies" as well as musicians.

So far I know I am the only women who also love to learn something about the technical part (in my environment). But you can say "most of the women".
