Na your rite tho, nothing to do with eq,thas sumthing that you train your ears to and gradually becomes a natural thing like most things in life as we know it.
I bet a fair share of male produces have quit out of technicality and eq frustration lol
I've come close but thats just a self believing and patients issue nothing more.. Because to put it simply the more pratice u have the better u become. You gotta be innit to win it!
Bring it on thas what I say ,, now this thread remains for a thousand years floating through cyber space, if when I'm sixty and isra-trance trance - forming culture is still about I will chukle in sucsess. Hehe
Peace
Bring it

Why would women need more time to get the EQ story right???

Simple: in most cases, but once again, exceptions are always there, women prefer focusing on the composition part instead of the technical production part, while at the mean time I noticed men go crazy over figuring out technical issues, like fully understanding eq-ing... Makes sense?
Peace. |

sort of mate, but the technical is the fun part I like to refer it to mixing audio, it ain't technical alot of common sense.
Technical is more like installing sound systems that would surround the wembly stadium.

I don't think that the technical part is harder to learn for women. I've started 2 years ago producing music and just one year for psytrance. I do know a lot of men who have major problems with good EQ and mastering. I love to be a producing mom and also a working mother and I determined to be much better in the future (I know for sure). A lot of men put women into cages.
But I do know that I'm not a stereotype women. I do like boxing and other things men do. A real women is a independent women!
This is a pretrack I'm working with:

Haven't done a lot of EQ (you will hear resonance in some parts).
|Btw. my men cooks every day for me |

I don't think anyone meant that is was 'harder' for women, rather that they tend to be less interested in technical stuff. This can be seen everywhere - universities have always had trouble attracting women to technical disciplines etc.
The track sounds great, uplifting but no cheese and full power.
Since you posted it I assume its ok to give some constructive criticism? It needs structure so the listener can feel how it builds energy..I would say add breaks, short proggy sections and swooshes so one can anticipate the longer breaks. I don't mean it should be formulaic, just that the listener needs a bit of guidance or it gets very hard to dance...
Rock on! |
