Nine-X afterparty (Sat. May 22nd)

Nice and easy…
Loaction: We got to the place at something like 20:00 and found a nice flat area in the middle of some fields. It had a bar, a chill out zone, a dance floor and of course a DJ stand. Almost no deco at all, just the organizers banner and a strange alligator on the DJ stand.
People: Nice crowd, about 250 ppl I guess. Seems like the organizers kept their strict age limit of 25+. I liked that 
Music: We got there just a little after Omi & Rocky started their set, a nice mostly proggy set in which I really liked and enjoyed the music selection. After that BLT & Danny Makov went on stage and gave a live show. Yuli, you were right, I’m getting too old for this...  Then came Domestic with lots of psysex and sub6 tunes (I think...) and that was way too fast for me. Left the place towards the end of that set.
Sound: Never was an expert on that but I think it was pretty good. A little too loud at some stages.
Bottom line: Very nice for a small after party on a Saturday night. Nothing too crazy, nothing too wild.
Yuli, I think that conversation we had was one of the funniest ever. No two sentences were connected there… and you owe me baba

Bastards... You had fun!
I wanted so much to go there but couldn't. Started practice today at the Clinical experiments department, and didn't want to come as a clinical experiment myself.

I came there with Karnaf and left even earlier....
I didn't come for the music, but I wanted to hear BLT and Danny Makov's live act, and so I did.
Location: Nice place, well organized. I really liked what they've done with the red lights around - I usually don't like lights when the party is at nature, but here it kindda give spacy feeling to the hole entrance - nice idea.
People: I came to enjoy the atmosphere of the crowd of Nine-X and so I did - good people all around, I had a great time meeting people I haven't seen in a long while ;-)
Music: No surprises here, I'm not a proggy type, so I won't say much. BLT & Danny Makov gave a nice live, I guess I'm expecting too much, that's my problem
Sound: Me too am not an expert, but I think it was good, nothing wild, but it was "sitting right" and there wasn't anything bothering about it.
To sum: A very nice production, I wish more of my friends could have come there, but I guess that's the price paid when going to an afterparty
I think that the age limit wasn't necessary, I know it's fun to see many of our age in a party, and it's pretty rare as well to so many that are 25+, but some of the youth energy was missing IMO, something felt a bit tiered to me, or maybe it was just being awake for too many hours on Saturday? |
