This can also be done by the SugarBytes Effectrix plugin, not exactly the same but still close to it.

yea it is a bit like other audio mangling tools. But the fact that you can assign an effect parameter to a midi note is pretty fantastic. Also the fact that you can trigger notes and the order in which you trigger them can create an effect chain is pretty wild. You can watch other videos of Tim using this on youtube before he released it with native instruments and see how he uses it. Pretty clever indeed. He records stuff in real time, loops it, mangles it, adds another layer and another layer. This used with ableton can be pretty powerful in the right hands. They used to have another reaktor ensemble of his called Keymasher which was the same idea only simplified, and im sure everyone has at least toyed around with the Vectory ensemble quite a bit, he did that one as well. Ive seen other similar setups from Moldover and people, but they are pretty complex ableton templates that you can use, but this that in one plugin.
