I don't really get the awesomeness from that video.
Is MIDI sync really such a revolutionary feature?
I haven't really checked out the Maschine, maybe it can do some cool stuff when synced?

Why do you need two computers and a piece of hardware to add some loops to Traktor?
As I understand you get the Maschine software as as plug-in, so if just Traktor had VST support I guess you would only need one computer and would not have to bother with MIDI sync.

no midi is not new. no one said it was. But it seems to work like a sequencer, that can be synced to traktor.
So for thoose who like to spin in traktor this could be a nice add. Sure you could to the same shit with ableton, but i bet my underpants that machine would have better integration with Traktor than ableton have.

LoopBe1 is an internal MIDI device for transferring MIDI data between computer programs. You can use it for example to synchronize Traktor Pro and Ableton Live running on the same computer. LoopBe1 is a windows application and free for non-commercial, personal use.

I guess you dont need 2 computer with this app,
but too bad its not working with mac.

Ok, I'm just curious if it actually would offer some tangible benefits running two computers and Maschine compared to one for example one computer with Ableton and a nice controller.
From what I could gather from the video it just seems like helluva awkward and costly way to get a DJ setup with sequencing and looping.

With two products coming from the same company it's just strange to see them using two computers using MIDI-sync in their own demo. I'm not sure I even would call that integration and I'm sure Live can sync to Traktors MIDI clock just as well.
Not that I see why you would, since you can both DJ and add loops and sequences all within Live.

some dj´s still prefer to use their decks for djing, so live alone is not an option for me while traktor scratch is :>

dunno about the 2 computers, it looks like a messy setup i rather stick to one computer.

Two computers, a pair of decks and a Maschine certainly seems messy to me, but then I do like to keep it simple, especially when it comes to live performance setups.

There has to be more convenient solutions if you like to use loops and do sequencing as well as being able to manually beatmach and do scratching using CDJ's or tuntables.
For example maybe using ms pinky pluggo as a VST in Live could work?           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)

Just discovered this tutorial about connecting Traktor and Live. Its too damn complicated and can cause so much trouble if something goes wrong..
I think I will rather stick to Serato..

Traktor is excellent, especially if you use it with an external MIDI Controller.           Keep The Passion Alive!
