if you count the librarie into the price it make maschine a bargain. (the librarie is very usable ,lot of good sounding samples )
This is what I hear as well from (techno) people that I respect their work a lot.
Great quality samples included, lots and lots of them.

Although having dedicated button to open plug in windows is the least of my worries, its good to know you can also do that.
Main reason I am buying Maschine is to work on music by not looking on the computer screen and the ways in which you can mangle samples.
For example the x0xb0x sequencer is very basic, but I have programmed acid lines I was not able to before, because I don't use the screen and mouse to create riffs.
Silly little things to some that make all the difference to me.
what is great is you can organize your samples to use tags to find fast what you need , this can really enhance workflow imo, the librairie is already taged but you can add your own samples librairies, it become your center priece for drums with a great workflow
i got it this mornign still playing on it , learning manual.. but so far i find the step sequencer is great for what need perfect timing like on a psy kick or psy bassline ,playing with the pads is the bomb for making ghost hits programing hats snare percs ... their is quantifactions options on record/play to make it more easy
what suprised me is how small the thing is,it look like a great piece for live it can bring a lot it seems
Why would I need to edit VST plug ins when all I need to do is make beats using Maschine's sequencer and mangle samples using Maschine's on board FX?

btw i tried the mashine software before and it s totally crap on his own (didn t like it at all compared to geist ) but with the mashine controller it s really great that i might resell geist now.
just to say one really need to try mashcine with the controller to get the full picture and not just the software.
i was triping on this.. it s possible send your audio to a fx group automate some fx chains and then swtich fx chains with the pads by switching patterns.. fun !
PoM thanks for nice tutorial, post more if you know. Just got mine Mashine and need to learn all this stuff. Curious how to export audio+fx into DAW, besides creating audio track and recording it via bus. Is there simpler way to do it? Tried dragging group but it's just audio without any fx.
