I'm not sure - I know when they were showing off 1.3 latch features Eric was controlling omnisphere with an iphone, at least the live mode and that stuff
I think that the iPad app for Omni is iPad specific and not for iphone, but I wouldn't know as I have an android phone.
If it was only about controlling the orb, then you could use any touch screen for it...but the iPad app has much more to it than just controlling the orb.
I would be thrilled if there was a cheaper non-apple way to interact with Omni as powerfully as through the iPad app...but I haven't seen it yet.

its not the ipad app now released for well, the ipad..
have found no nothing about them guys at spectrasonics saying they want to make an app for android or win based systems as well. bitches.
therefore dh your link was nice but it is not worth that much if you cannot get the right software for those pads...
there does not seem to be an emulator for ipad apps sofar which was the last thing i could think of

does it have to be a tablet pc type thing
there are laptops out there with reversable screens
Best of both worlds
The Orb---- youll play around with it for a while and like all great ideas in the modern age it will be forgoten about in a couple of months
