Slug – Artist Profile
Slug is the psytrance project of Liam Gibbs, an electronic music producer from Cape Town, South Africa. DJing psytrance since 1998, Liam began releasing tracks internationally in 2003, and since then has built a dedicated following of trance lovers around the world. Liam is also co-owner of Nexus Media, a Cape Town-based record label specializing in psytrance.
The Slug sound is powerful fusion of psytrance styles, offering a great cross-over between the twisted beats of the night, and the blissful melodies of a daytime dance floor. Now with 5 albums to his credit (including 2 with Shift as the “Pitch Hikers” project), Slug is making more noise than ever, taking his unique sound to more and more dance floors around the world.
