Original Review by Monkeysfist.co.za, come check out how the review really looks.
http://www.monkeysfist.co.za/2007/03/16/deep-into-the-nexus-cd/

A surreal landscape of pulsing beats and scything leads, drenched in mood, texture, and colour. All part of one interconnected network. A Nexus. Experience the power that drives the core of this infernal machine, and ride this energy right back to the very source.

What the tracks had to say:
--------
1. Brethren vs Outer Signal – Rock

A power track to start the album off with. Outer Signal brings a strong aspect to the Brethren boys. This tracks layers strong grooves with traditional build-ups and breaks. Very psy-olid.

2. Hydraglyph – Nowhere Near

With a new CD release coming soon on the Nexus Media Label, the Hydraglyph duo, are sure pulling out all the stop when it comes to strong Psychedelic music. Manic melodies and some good “Riff-age” (Guitar sounds for those who were wondering) .

3. Phyx - Evolver

Boojaa. Gaining major respect at the Monkeysfist HQ, Phyx has evolved into a demon of the beats! Earth moving bass-lines and great rhythm, makes Phyx my favorite artist of the past weeks. This track running tightly along the lines of his “Kiss the Blade” album. He sure makes me jump with this track and it’s structured and stucco synthage.

4. Abomination – Pass Away (Shift rmx)

Always know to have raw and unique sounds, this tracks comes free with shifting bass-lines, ready to slap you as you turn around to listen. I’m am dubbing Abomination’s style to be that of military precision. It might be some of Shifts doing, either way Nexus Media sure has some stellar talent at the work bench.

5. Twisted System – Mad Method (live version)

Freaky sounds gelled into a mix of quality percussion and clear synth sounds. Sounds bending into and out of your ears leaving you with the urge to move around violently. Midsections dropping into a fat new groove just to build into an perfect composition of funk and groove. “Classic TS”.

6. Slug vs Abomination – Where is Magneto

Powerful moving bass lines and floating melodies. Fast as as only the combined powers of Slug and Abomination can be. Punchy Percussion that made me fall in love with their previous track, Bleed. Wow!

7. Shift - Pump

The solid Shift sound blasts through right from the start. A producer who has proven to be gold keeps on making fullon tracks with ’shifting’ bass sections and dense clouds of sound. High energy percussion, drifting pads and iconic sound samples brings a fullon effect like no other. “Pump that shit man!”

8. Pitch Hikers – Counter Culture

PH once again creates a subtle platform to unleash their true understanding of soundscapes, super leads and out right well placed pads and pongs. 12 out of 10!

9. Artifakt – Gravity Spine (Pt 1)

A show of skill by Artifakt. This short number leaning towards an intro to the followup track, steps in and out with dominant style of intricacy.

10. Artifakt - Gravity Spine (Pt 2)

Round the dinner table, Artifakt sits down last with a full plate of warped sounds and unique distortions. Making use of phat chunks of punch and saucing it up with savory synths and pad, he always serves up a grand experience in audio.

Thanks.

fucking SICK compilation, possibly the best nexus media VA so far...

hydraglyph track is huuuuuuuge, so excited about the new album! even though their last album makes me want to die, i know the new one will be good cos its on NExuS!

abomination's pass away remixed by shift is just bullshit. i dont like most of the music shift makes these days, but the subtle things he has done to this track (like adding in an extremely fat bass line) turned one monster track into yet another monster track.... killer!

twisted system track also very solid, if this was on their last album it would have been a stand out

SLuG VS ABoMinATION!!!! WHERE the fuck IS Magneto???? love it, X-men samples used to great effect - ive been playing this one... the melodies make me cream my jeans

shift track is cheesy im sorry to say

ARTIFAKT does not disapoint once again. killer track!!! been playing this one too.... it is artifakt after all he is THE MASTER of everything

BOOM nexus media!

Is the Hydraglyph track supposed to have those weird glitchy sounds in it?
