chris hoy (shift) is proud to present his latest project - NEXUS MEDIA
this new label, based in cape town, will be releasing its frist few discs in the forthcoming months
you can expect all sorts of interesting music and other trance related media from this the brainchild of shift
our first release will be a cd single (yes cd single) by upcoming new cape town artist 'slug' - liam gibbs is one of the most experienced live performers in s.a (worked with xatrik for a long time) and with releases already in conjunction with xatrik and shift, as well as a fist solo release on the new mushroom mafia comp.. slug has the potential for big things in the global scene..
his 'new' style encompases a fat technoid groove and beautiful psychedelic soundscapes,, this is music for the morning or night,, big pad and melodies but still an awesome dance prescence and magnificent production...
his first single will feature 2 tracks - penguin rebellion,, and bit slapper as well as a remix of penguin rebellion by myself (shift) - due for release late jan or early feb,,,
the next project will be a shift remixes (by other artists) compilation in feb/march and then the next SHIFT ALBUM (which is finnished by the way..) in march/april..
oh.. then a slug album,, and shit,, well i guess i'm gonna be doing a whole lot this year,, more NEW artsis and some of your old favs will be releasing everything from dark fullon psy to breakbeat psy and even,,wait for it POP psy,, yes POP psy with singing and all... hahaha
there will be dvd's out,, music videos,, and other interesting merchandise too
well i'm looking faorward to this year and i hope you are too

YES....... that's again a very promising newsletter here..... the last work of Chris was a kind of masterpiece to me.....now I see he's another album in pipe.....
The Slug I remember from last compilation by timecode Chris made track with !......also very curious !......

He freak...wishing you all the luck with this one.....and what about Afrogalactic of Colin? Is he still up and active? Since I haven't heard of him for months now.....hope he's still gonna release some of those mad mental comps....and if not, hope you take over properly amigo...but I'm sure you will...good luck !!!
