Hey I live near Journal Square too! There are a bunch of other psytrance people in the Journal Square area, and I like that I know everyone in my neighborhood, and that I can walk down the block and get REALLY CHEAP indian food and fresh vegetables, and a gallon of milk is only 2.50
I can find you a place locally, I can ask my landlord or my friends and neighbors in the 'hood.
I don't know how big an apartment you are looking for.
But let me give you a price guide:
don't pay more than 400 per month for renting a room in an apartment around journal square, don't deal with real estate brokers they will rip you off, it is better to deal with the landlord directly.
Try walking down Tonnelle avenue or liberty avenue in the journal square area near the indian market on Newark avenue, you will see for rent signs, many of the houses have the landlord and his family living on the first floor, and they rent out the floors of the houses above.
Don't even bother looking in downtown jersey city, that area has become super-gentrified, and you will be paying way to much for rent, and the supermarkets and stores are way more expensive in that part of town.
Please feel free to IIMS me.
P.S. Journal square is only a few minutes to Newark on the PATH, and it is only 25 minutes to 33rd street and 10 minutes to the world trade center.
