I had a wonderful time at the Vibrasphere party. I got there early,
had a great time kibbitzing and chilling with people, and had a few
vodka w/cranberry and lime. Very cool Jazz-club atmosphere in the
venue.
I thought Vibrasphere's set was decent... There was a lot of cheesy
progressive trance played earlier in the evening, which isn't my cup
of tea, but the cool people I had a chance to have to have some cool
conversations with more than made up it. I met people from the
Netherlands, Goa, Pakistan, Boston, and many other places...
I was happy that Akin got to attend after he got off of work, and
that we got a chance to listen to Gavin's set. Gavin played some
good high BPM tribal trance at the end of the evening, which was
wicked nice.
I thought the artwork and set design at the club was a bit on the
minimal side. However, Michael from Optical Delusion
(Michael@opticaldelusion)did a wicked nice job with the visual
projection.
Overall it was a wonderful evening. Thank you Gavin, Vibrasphere and
everyone who made the party happen.

Pieces1979... you said 'overall a wonderful time...'
I guess you didnt talk to, like, half the women there, who had random people they dont know trying to persuade them into the 'private rooms available in the back', and having to deal with similar crude vibes all night long. A girlfriend of mine insisted on staying by me as much as possible, cuz she had to deal with other guys trying to pull her into rooms.
U described some of the music as high bpm tribal trance... the dj playing this 'tribal trance' you call it, was playing progressive, and more clean-groove based stuff... so I dont really understand how you came up with your description... maybe our definitions of tribal is different...
not trying to have a negative tone here.. just speaking... I was only at the party for 2 hours,
(5 to 7am) so maybe I shouldn't really be talking...
I still had a good time, was dancing for a lot of it,
but thats why I had a good time, I guess what was going on off-the dancefloor and Dj's space, was a little harsh, party is party and everything is to be expected, so nice one.
