Hello everyone!!
I'm Dave the aussie mod just popping in to say hello
HELLO!!!!
I will be your shores later this year and am very excited about it. I've been waiting to come to brasil for a long time and now my time is here!!!
I'm just wondering if any knows anything about any big festivals being planned on or around new years this year. Obviously not final details as it is too early but maybe some prelimanry rumours to get me excited.
If someone knows something (maybe an organiser) but doesnt want to post here please send me a private message.

Their is one festival that is called Universo Paralello, that was in alto paraiso last year, but it wasn't a great festival due to the weather....
I heard some rumors that this festival will be in Trancoso-Bahia, don't think that is comfirmed.
But in Trancoso around new year's their is plenty of parties, and that is were I'm going towards the end of the year.

Yeah the party in alto paraiso can be great, but the weather is horrible 24/7 raining. read the reviews from the last one. the name of it is Universo Paralello...
But nevertheless alto paraiso is beautiful, worth a trip down their

Good evening Dave,
Glad to hear you're coming over. You are more than welcome! Anyways, there will definately be a big festival on the New Year's eve (4-6 days long) but it wasnt promoted yet. I know the people that organized Universo Paralelo last year and one of them told me that this year it's going to be at Trancoso, which is great because it's in the beach and it's sunny. You must go to Alto Paraiso (High Paradise) even though it rains, because it's an amazing place. In Trancoso it's always full of parties and people from all over the world...
Anyways, i'm expecting to have Ypy Poty this year, beginning of 2004 and this is the most amazing festival ever... I heard it's going to happen once every 2 years, like Boom,. Check the pics @ http://www.zuvuya.net/sites/raveon/ypypoty/english/story.htm
