New years eve in Denmark

Intro:
Well for me New Years Eve started nice and easy… When the clock rounded about 12:00 o’clock, I was at small party with some friends, that don’t appreciate trance… But what would New Years Eve be without some smooth pumping trance…
Location:
Well when time was about 1:00 o’clock I left for a place called”Bastionen”. The Bastion is one of the most underground indoor trance “houses” in Denmark. Very dark, very wicked, space for about 600 people, a solid sound system, mostly good people and lots of quality acts… I think it belonged to the Danish military some time ago, some sort of warehouse. The place is filled with Ultraviolet decoration … There is a nice atmosphere and felling inside. Well you get the picture… The place closed at 12:00 in the afternoon New Years day, and opened 11:00 New Years eve... Lots a time to party  …
Party:
Well I believe that the place was packed New Years Eve, I saw people waiting to get in after 9:00 o’clock… madness… There was unfortunately no life acts that night but there was 8 DJs performing… The crème dele crème of the underground DJ scene in Denmark … There was a variety of trance styles on exhibition that night… From the dark, dark progressive Bitmonx to the energetic Astrix, and of course don’t forget the Swedish groove of son kite and co.
After party:
The time had rounded 10:00 in the morning and one of my friends was”dying” to smoke another serious joint... so we decided to take taxi to Christiania which is only about 1.5 km from the Bastion. The 60’s pleasures were warring out anyway  … well we bought 10 joints and 8g for 4 people, I guess that was enough…
Then we had problem were do you go 12:00 o’clock in the afternoon when you don’t have anyplace to go to, and you are all completely fucked… … and your getting quite tired after smoking quite a big deal…
You order a hotel room …
Then everything was really perfect… Just sleeping smoking and watching cheep ass movies… all day long…
A perfect beginning to the new year…

That does sound like a perfect start to the year. I especially like the bit about getting a hotel room...nice way to round it off! Have a beautiful 2003 Green Channel! |
