Rock on! Thanks Andy and crew! I will most likely be there.

Does anybody know, are we allowed to bring our own alcohol in? I know normally when there is a bar the answer is 'no,' but you never know.           http://www.soundcloud.com/djKAHN

I had an amazing time at this party! It was definitely a "different type" of party than we normally have. It had a sort of child like innocence about it. People like to use the term "oldschool vibes," and I think that fits in this case. It felt like an oldschool party in a setting that felt very new. I've never heard this much Full-On being played at a Psy event, especially not at the peak time slots it was being played; I loved every second of it. If anything it felt like a glimpse of what the LA party scene (not just the "psy scene") may be in a couple years.

Highlights:

Kiva - I've been enjoying most all your sets as of late. I have not heard you play anything close to Full-On like that in awhile. It was a nice surprise, and I enjoyed dancing the whole time through. And thanks for dropping some of your original goodness into the mix too.

Bypass - I really loved this set. I had heard bits and pieces of him playing at a previous party, so I had a feeling I would enjoy what he played going in. But it still took me away. The set was intense, uplifting, and very psychedelic. It was great to hear this type of music at the time slot. Great track selection, and excellent mixing.

D-Tek - I enjoyed his "live" set, as well as his DJ set. It was definitely a "night full-on" act if I've ever heard one. His music was deep, dark (in mood), and still funky and uplifting. It was great music for the timeslot. Also, some of the production I was hearing in his set was completely unique and very intense. It was hearing some sounds I've never heard used in music before. It was a very creative set for sure. Thanks for gracing us!

Barakuda - Your set was amazing! The last couple sets I've seen you play have been grade AAA awesome, and this one was the best I've heard to date. I love all the funky, low frequency, dirty sounding bass on a lot of the tracks you played. You also played a few tracks that I've played myself, great ones at that. This was probably my favorite set of the night, and the highest energy hour there. I can't wait to see your next set!

Konflux - It was an interesting transition after Andy's set, where the BPM shifted up drastically all at once. This was definitely not the "norm" at psytrance parties. It was a tough timeslot to play, given the music going before you. I could tell it took the crowd a bit by surprise. But given the circumstances, I think you gave us a pretty awesome set. The sounds were high tech, deep, and driving as we've come to expect. And as the most "night psytrance" oriented set of the night, I could tell it was making a lot of the regulars happy.

Loke - I've never heard him play before this. But he was playing some pretty incredible music actually. I've never heard music like you were playing there. I guess this would be considered "morning psytrance" but not full-on? I don't know, but it was melodic, zippy, had drops and build ups, but had basslines and speeds most similar to the "night" and "dark" psytrance. Just on the fact that it was completely different than anything else I've ever heard, the set was a great one. There were a couple dubby breaks in there that were really killer too. Great job!

Poli - I always enjoy hearing his sets. They usually come out somewhere close to what I imagine a "GMS Live" set would be. I was hearing a lot of stuff off the new GMS RMX album, as well as some other remixes of theirs. Personally I've really been digging their new style, so I felt that this was a good thing. This set also brought a lot of people back to the dance floor who had been sitting or elsewhere before. Great job!

And to all the organizers, and everybody who helped make this party happen, AMAZING JOB! It was definitely a worthy effort, and an event that will not be forgotten anytime soon.

The decor was amazing! The effort that went into making that venue into a "psychedelic enclave" must have been phenomenal. The ambiance was positive and deep throughout the whole venue. The sitting areas were a nice addition too. It really made it an "event for everybody," even for some who I know can't make it the whole night on the dance floor. That said, next time maybe fence off the pool or something. I was scared that somebody was going to fall into it sometime throughout the night hehe. The heaters were also a fantastic addition, and really made the venue nice.

The lighting, disco ball, lasers, lcd screen, etc., in the main area were all top notch AAA event quality. I mean the production level on that main room was by far one of the best I've seen at any type of electronic music event. It felt like a smaller version of what you see at the massive events. The lasers, the lights, everything just made it really really nice. Awesome job on this! The room was a pleasure to dance in throughout the night.

The shuttle service was fast, convenient, and fun! It's great to see the parking and shuttle situations working out just as well as planned.

The turnout was great too. I saw most of the regulars, along with a slew of new faces that I've never seen at these parties before. In fact, I even recognized some people from other scenes of electronic music, obviously coming to check out the psytrance scene. I think this is a really positive sign. With all the events that take place on NYE, if they chose to come to this event, I think that really says something about the potential for growth in the LA scene. The whole place was packed long past 4am, which was also nice to see. And even at that time, it wasn't just the regulars I saw there. A lot of the new folks decided to persevere the entire night as well.

The only half negative thing to say is that the bathroom situation was pretty disgusting. I know that was more than likely out of the control of everybody there. Someday it might be nice to have some kind of service keeping the bathrooms clean throughout the evening. The Henry Fonda Theater actually does just this, and I always thought it was a nice addition. For us guys it was less of an issue, but I saw many females who did not seem happy to have to go in such conditions. But hey, at least we had a place to go consistently throughout the night.

Thank you Psytribe Ananda and Greensector!. What a great way to enter this New Year. I just moved to LA sometime ago. Been partying since ages n been all over. Love the scene here.
This was my second party after the Freakshow. Great people. Great Vibes.

Really Nice Decor, good location with pool n shuttle n all. Nice Production guys!

Was great to see some energy, good mixin n good tunes behind the decks

Music- Was great. Good sets by all the DJ's, Barakuda, was energy packed! Konflux was super, liked his set at the Freakshow better, but still great style.
But my favorite were the last guys dancing!. What good energy, got everyone back on the dancefloor.
According to the line up it was Poli (Spun Rec), so who was the other guy with him then?
Does anyone know?

Again. Thank You Psytribe, Ananda and Greensector!
Have a great New Year.
Looking forward to more this year.

Don't tell me you are who your username suggests?

I'm not positive, but I believe that other DJ with Poli was 'Sanjay' another Spun Recs. DJ. I could be totally wrong though. I have not seen him play before, so I am not sure. Overall, the set felt like a Poli set, or a 'GMS' live set. The majority of those tracks were GMS remixes. If you liked those, check out GMS's just released 'GMS Remixed Vol. 2' album. It has a lot of them, plus one of the great tracks that Barakuda dropped. (Kox Box - Stratosphere (GMS Remix))

Thanks
The username- couldn't think of anything better.
The guy with Poli was just too good. Wht mixing, what energy. I really really enjoyed them.
But I must say, I have heard GMS play LIVE before, and that wasn't that. Its different. There were definitely a few GMS tracks that i heard, but these guys were more psychedelic, n sounded definitely different then GMS LIVE in my opinion.
Plz can someone conform who he was? Sorry I would, If i knew people around here. Maybe someone from the Production Team. Thanks, I am really curious to know. He was good!

Nah that set was 90% GMS remix. I knew just about every track (minus 1 or 2) that they played.

Their style has shifted drastically, to become a really new type of trance altogether. In the past year, what you heard is what the GMS sound has become. Check out their remix album. In addition to what is on that album, they played a few misc. other GMS remixes such as Dynamic - Drop Me (GMS Rmx), Perplex vs GMS - Paper Spray (GMS Edit), some Soundaholix tracks (which is GMS + Earthling), and some other stuff. There were only about 5 or so tracks I counted that weren't recognizable as GMS tracks.           http://www.soundcloud.com/djKAHN

Gumbo, that was me that was playing at that time. When I play prog, I go by Swell. I do live in San Diego and have been with Psytribe since 2000...I think. It is all a blur now. Anyway, all the tracks I played were either my own or collaborations that I have done. The second track I played was with Solar Spectrum (Braincell). There were two tracks later in the set with my friend Nate Bader (Dropzone) here in San Diego. The last two tracks were unlreased tracks from Solar Spectrum. Pick up his album. It is killer.

I am truly honored that you liked my music.           Give the prog a chance. It will grab your soul.
