It came out a couple of weeks ago if Im not wrong haven't tried it out yet. but isnt the legacy a group of vsts? I dont know for sure but the ms-20 came out on vst as well. (need to get my facts straight there lol)
Also a Arturia Minimoog was released which apparently is very good as well, and it is easier to use then the modular moog (obvious reasons)
I need to get my pc sorted again so that I can install these two and have a drive test

If anyone has both the hardware and software version of ms-20, how good is the software compared to the hardware? |

If you're a registered use you can check the article at: http://www.soundonsound.com/
They say that the vst's are great and that the wavestation vst sounds better than the original due to a higher sample rate. Doesn't say for the ms-20. Good thing is that they are of course polyphonic and can be layered on each other for more power.
The impOscar by G-Media is pretty amazing also. Some great bass noises.

We have the hardware ms-20 and we tested the vst-ms20 yesterday.
It's really really close, probertly the best emulation i've heard of a hardware synth so far (excluding the 100+ tb clones out there). But there is very destinct difrences between hardware/software, the hardware do sound warmer with a bit more bite to the sound. And the software filters don't kill the audio when pushed to the extremes highs/lows.
But you can bet we will be using it, since it does make the whole automation part ALOT easier |

There is a hardware synth from Korg called MS-2000. Does it have anything to do with MS-20 (a digital version or something), or is it a different synth? |

MS-20 is an old analog synth. MS-2000 is a newer virtual analog synth. |

I've just passed all my nord lead presets through the talking modulator. They sound awesome. Try it! |

I just bought the Legacy collection last week and I must say I am very happy with it if only for the MS-20 alone (and the Polysix and Wavestation are very good as well, I just haven't played with them as much yet). I am only just beginning to scratch the surface of what this can do, but I've very happy with the warm sounds and off the wall squelchy gurgling noises it can make so far. The MS-20 controller a is pretty cool bonus as well.
