here are some infos about the first release of a new japanese label "Phreex Networx" ...check it out !!!

Phenix is the debut compilation from Tokyo-based Phreex Networx, a division of Chikuya which is one of the most popular organisers of underground psychedelic trance parties in Japan. Conceptualised and compiled by label A&R and DJ Ken (also a label DJ for Parvati Records), this project was inspired by the work of the late, great Japanese anime and manga cartoonist Osamu Tezuka. When first published, his work was not well understood by the Japanese people, in the same way that psychedelic trance is not well understood by the public now.
It is hard to imagine a time when cartoon culture was not popular in Japan, but this indeed was the case and Tezuka was one of the true pioneers. He is perhaps most famous for the Astroboy series, but it is the Phenix series that provides the inspiration for this compilation. It was published in 12 volumes and Tezuka worked on it from the mid 1960's until his death in 1989.
The Phenix (Phoenix) is a mythological bird that represents the eternal re-birthing of all life. The myth/folklore of gaining immortality through drinking the blood of the phoenix is one of the core themes of the series. Tezuka's masterpiece depicts the quest for immortality among many heroes and heroines of the Japanese past as well as the future. It also elaborates on the socio-political themes of injustice, exploitation of masses by the elite, the futility of war, fate/karma, reincarnation and consciousness. The stories also touch upon biological and environmental themes such as the significance of evolution, ecology and procreation.
This compilation celebrates DJ Ken's 10th anniversary of his first visit to Goa ! He has requested tracks from his favorite artists, including 3 Japanese newcomers plus some of the worlds leading dark psy-trance producers, incorporating the theme of Phenix and each track is therefore titled "Phenix".
The CD is presented in digipak packaging with "Hi-Fi" offset printing using 2 flourescent inks for a very special effect, with artwork by KC, who designed Koxbox's "Dragon Tales" for Blue Room Released several years ago.
