this is a massege to all the promoters,
stop bring the same names every 3 months, 
skazi,penta,native radio,gms,raja ram,goagil etc,
please guys stop that 
we need new psychedelic trance sound in our country

People talk about new names BUT when they come here noone attends to the party.
Its peoples fault that no new names come to our country,not the promoters one.

but with dark soho and vibrasphere and andromeda,
so beter this way,
bring old names but bring them with others that have never come or have a long time to come(hallucinogen)

I have notice something that happens with greek parties
(I don't know if it happens at other countries also)
well,the scene attracts every day new persons
but all of them appeared only when a "firstclass  " full-on artist play (thing that is expectable,afterall is the only one they know).
The majority of parties host these kind of artists,so the majority of parties are full of new-comers,so the majority of parties are more like "drug-gatherings" and not parties.
The older ones who have been here and there
and they have listen to this or that,they tired with this situation and they move on to no-party lives (they go to prives or strange places,and if they want to party they go to festivals).
At the end,when a new artist come to play (phenomeno that is very rare)we have few new-comers(cause they don't know him and they 'll wait for skazi next week)and we have few olders(cause the most of them stoped to go at this kind parties)
So we don't have enough $people$ to do the party.
And we become members of a circle which never ends.

I think some names could gather a lot of old school people.For example a party with x-dream or someone first class respectable project from the past which still produsing music.The other way is bringing some progressive monsters like ticon,son kite,shakta etc..This will gather good crowd with nice people and of course old people!I remember a year ago at neraida's garden with bitmonx,antix, and orion.I saw alot of old people (some of them with their little childs) coming for 1rst antix appearence in greece!It was nice party witch stoped after 12 o'clock pm if I remember! |

I have to say that you don't have to forget that plenty of the old trancers don't attend parties cause they are very careful about drug use,since they know the long run efects of this (I call it the drug abuse circle )
Old trancers also IMO will go at 1 maybe 2 parties per year plus one festival,and this is good for them since they follow parties for over than 7-8-9 years and it is reasonable that they don't follow parties with the same enthusiasm like the new comers do.
Since i am an old enough trancer myself also,i have to remind that we also were first comers many years ago,and we were not so easily accepted by the "trance community" of those days...It is a Greek habit i think,for old trancers,to face new comers with not so "wellcome" mood or attidude.
I also go at "strange"places, (time is passing my friend and we all need changes
And finally, to bless my bear,(gia na evlogisw ta genia mas ) we have a lot of new comers (artists i mean) for this season (again) at neraida...Lets see
OH!last but not least,what do you mean "Greek trance mafia"?

why this to happen only with progressive?
maybe cause its a "new" thing for the greek scene and people haven't tired to hear the same names all the time.I hope progress scene don't become like the full-on...
new names,refresh our sounds (not antix,native radio all the time)
where are
freq,sensient,sun control species,metronome,tristan,tetraktys,shaman,beat bizarre...
But things are better at progress scene
as the full-on

silicon sound
wrecked machines
pop stream
psydrop
space monkey
or even
eskimo

deviant species

?
give the people the change to experience all them live(afterall the whole europe does it)
They will appriciete good music they are not stupid

hey tripy of course i would like to listen the stuff that you suggest for bringing them.Antix was an example about "old school" people.Anyway I hope eternal emotion (I think that they are our only hope for bringing nice tunes at thessaloniki) will gather some new and good stuff from 2 scenes! |
