I'm not really going for a particular psytrance style, i usually tend to give my music a dark sound, some would say.
Though here is a final mix of a track i been working on in ableton Live , the scene with kuato in total recall inspired this. so yeah, i have some concerns with the bassline. It starts at E and then goes to G for most of the track. zebralette for the bass sound. custom drum rack w/ sampled kicks. sampled kuato's voice.
I think this is one of my better attempts at mastering, did the compression, equalizing and starting to understand how it all works. Is there anymore i could do? I've been trying to give the bass more punch but every attempt to do so it would distort and peak. no luck with that, I think the bass seems to be drowned out a bit. I want it to have more presence through out the track, but it seems the high notes in the bassline take place and the low note seems pushed back.
any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
here is the track at my soundcloud page. btw, how do i embed the player into this thread?
