heyy all!

I recently finished the structure of a new track. the problem is that I was kinda sick of my old monitors, so I made everything on headphones yet

my new monitors arrived now yesterday, and I'm about to go over the mix again soon. I thought it may help to get some objective feedback before I do that, since I'm not that familiar with the new monitors yet.

thanx in advance for your help guys!           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

Hey man, sounding good

I'd like to see just a smidge more snap on the bass, but otherwise the mix is holding together very well indeed.

Reckon some of the fills could have a touch more oddness to them, and the I also think you are *slightly* overusing the main lead. I reckon you'd get more impact for the section with the moving bass if you wree to more overtly 'come back' to the lead at this point.

But really, sounding pretty good indeed           .

heyy thanx for your feedback

I know, the bass could get a bit more snap, but its esm I'll try that tough

which section are you refering to in the last bit? I think with the main lead you mean the one entering at 3:16, and its also used before and after that as pad-like lead...right?

anyway, I already did a 2nd mix on my new monitors today...changed few things in the mix, and also a bit in the arrange. here it is:

I'll go over it again within the next days and keep your thoughts in mind, thanx again           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

cool thanx

I just recognized a mistake in the 2nd one: the melody entering in the first break is panned hard right for the first 8bars, but it should be in the middle.           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

ok so I made a 3rd mix now

I didnt change anything of the arrange, but I made the bass more snappy and I processed the drums a bit more...also 2 sounds in the end got a bit changed, and few minor fixes.

cool tune!

on headphones nothing to complain.

but when i listen on my genelecs, the kick is just a bit too sharp for my taste. did you compress it? and how much? is it layerd with a hat?
there's something in the highend i don't really like. especially when you turn up the volume. and don't get me wrong here, it's just a little little bit and maybe more personal taste.

but a nice track mate. go on!

thanx guys!

I already recognized that issue with the kick lately in the car...the bad thing is that I cant hear that loud on monitors these days because our baby is sleeping most of the times I get to produce. but I'll fix that soon...

its not compressed by the way, and there is also no hihat layered with it...just a bit of eq. I think I even removed some high frequencies of it already...

did you mean just the kick with that thing about the high end, or the whole thing?           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

just the attack part of the kick...

i guess it's easy to adjust a little bit. but listen first on your monitors. i could only hear it when i turned the level up to max. and it was more in the beginning anyway, with all the drums it's no matter. i dont think that the kick has too muchs highs, it was just sounding like it was compressed a little bit.

like to hear more from you.

yes like I said, I heard this also in my car...didnt have a chance yet to hear that loud on my monitors but I'll fix that soon, should be easy with a bit of eq.

I'll also upload a mastered version and some other stuff soon.

have fun guys!           https://soundcloud.com/hazak
