new to SF bay & need advice

Hello. I've just moved to the San Francisco bay (Berkeley) from England, and I'm trying to find out about the scene here. The 'Love & Devotion' thing sounded fun, but the Blue Cube didn't seem to be open tonight (Friday Oct 1). Could anyone tell me if the party's still going ahead on Saturday (Oct 2) please? Or is there anything else in terms of psy in or around the Parade that I might find? Or do you have any other helpful suggestions? With luck I'll see some of you around.
