hey everyone.....i dont know shit bout creating music.
all i know is that i really love pschedelic music and i want to learn how to create my own songs..
firstly i wanted to know if its possible to make a song using only computer softwares...
if u can which ones do u suggest i use to make a song from scratch. |

do u have money ?
or u don't care it will sound like fruty ;)
anyway - if u short on budget , start with fruty and try 2 put
your hands on some vst instruments ...
what is vst ... ?
well look at steinberg site , sorry im 2 lazy 2 ezplain :)
anyway strat with this , get the feeling , understand what is all
about ...

first thing you will nead is a good computer that has Pentium 3 550 at least, 128Mb of Ram, and a simple sound card but not too simple.
now i think that you need to get 2 music tools, 1 for production and 1 for editing Wavs.
for the production i will recomend you to start on Fruity Loops V.3.3 or other version you got.
for editing wavs i will recomend you Sound Forge V.5.
you also will need to get simple speakers but not computer speakers and a stereo amplifier.
and maybe i will add a good headphones.
plus Heater for the cold days ;) and a good ventilator for the summer ;)
If you can get that i think, imo, that you are ready for starting your jurney into trance music production.

k , what the f*** your problem with fruity loops?
believe me if you got a good souncard and a good monitors you can make whatever you want.
how about making a track on fuity then mixing up in cubase?
there are many ways to handle the sound problem
anyway ace - start with fuity and some vst instruments,dont listen to anybody who says things like "k" said and make your music
just learn,learn and learn and...
with time to come you will pay more attention to sound and you will know then how to make a good sound that's all
all about sitting down and learning |

yo ace :first you need strong computer (ram)
and you need to work on your conection for porgrams
and alot of free time (girl friend is a problem)
try to start with cubase or logic and if you need more help contact with me ill try to help as mush as i can good luck

first thing im gonna do is upgrade my computer...
coz i have a p2 450
another question......what sound card is good i think ive got a 64 bit
one last question....i have a new p3 laptop....is that good enough? |

ace you are starting to make music, dont invest allot of money not b4 knowing that making music its what you wanna do siriusly.
all i am saying is dont throw money... :)
try to invest into non expensive equipmant.
btw: you have a budget ?

about the laptop, well you can make music with it, but i know that further on you will need a large 17" screen for making your life easier :)
about s.card, you can get into other threads that has opened, there are exellent reviews...

don't make music more than 5 hour per day and you will have time for all the rest more u will be more creative
my suggestion : find out what is your software ?
find good sequencer for you ( fruity loops , logic or cubase ) and start to learn the shit
listen to other ppl work , find your style ( work on other styles too it will teach you a lot
, chill out 4 example )
ask us and we will help you coz there are ppl that workin with every soft
about Pc : strongest as u can
i have AMD 1600 athlon , 256 SDRAM , Creative Live and Loudspeakers+AKAI reciever(magber k*s emo ars ) and it's enought but P III will be too
when you will be more proffecional you will buy better gear
Jason and Leo - know well Fruity Loops 4 example
and K - is some guy that talkin a lot of shit about fruity but he is not pro musician so you can **** *** **** if you want of couse !

btw- Molecular are not working on FruityLoops Anymore since long time ago, we made the best out of it and made long hours on it but there is nothing like Cubase 4 us now.
