i think for proggy psy Shiva Chandra's -Symbol is definitive. Its got the essence of Goa pretty intact..

Ohhhh and can I please buy a bottle of Essence Ov Goa? please? where to buy? sounds a bit pretentious/wanky to me but it may help me get more hipp-e chicas yuh?

of course dark can be happy also.
i mean, some people have very distorted version of what dark psy nowadays is.
it can be happy, it can be emotional too, it can be inspiring and beautiful.
for me, as i always said, dark psy means expect the unexpected. that is all. that is why it is the music of 2008 for me. cause the rest is quite predicctable. and trance is generally a border experience, going beyond the border. so it cannot be predictable.

ah, and as far as progressive dark is concerned...
i was always curious about it but till now the projects that ,have been labeled as that had not really satisfied my interest. may be i havent heard everything but till now it was mostly just progressive with dark atmosphere elements. and i would imagine something else.
like if dark psy is expect the unexpected then progressive dark would mean for me expect progressively more unexpected.

electro-fullon-dark-prog-minimal psy? sounds nice. would be hell of experimenting but it can definitely be an interesting border experience.
and dark psy, i just cant express my love to this style. after the eras of classical psychedelic, full on and progressive it was just such an incredible revival of psychedelic states, at least for me personally, it gave me live again.
dark psy is the beauty of chaos. the universe itself is chaos, the fractals in the nature are chaos - the sand, the clouds and still they are so naturally beautiful appearing from the chaos.
if it is really successfully produced and then played in a perfect flow that keeps you aware in trance for at least 4-5 hours, dakr psy combines the chaos with a cyclic flowing on experience, exactly as it would unite the chaos of the wind with the rythmic cycles of the universe ( stars, planets rotating, days and nights changing). i find that this style even actually arose from full on and is its derivate. i have always denied the fact, that it is an actual derivate of metal, even if in fact i began with metal as a kid before all the techno, psychedelic, progressive and full on.....so it was sort of closing the circle. i really love it.

maybe people just turn into progressive because they just have enough of the kids.
well anyway a grown up attitude is something different than lying totally stoned in a forest in goa and discovering how little you are in this universe.
a grown up attitude is something totally different. progressive is actually quite intelligent music for intelligent people. i rediscover it now. it is a different feeling. it has something really attracting inside. like you know, it can attract you the same way as a luxurous crystal bong with the form of a butterfly can attract you in comparison to a small joint rolled with the last paper found under the bed. dont know if you get the point. but eve if you dont. doesn matter.

wait to listen to SysTech first, no album yet, but i think its a sound many people looking for plus an amazing production, their style fits perfect for that infernal progressive sound. Im so much waiting for that in 2009

i had quite a long time when i thought i only need dark. i cant believe how i got to this idea. really. it is gone now. i dont need dark. not even slightly. progressive makes much more pleasant feelings. i am not 18 any more. i need trancy hipnotic sounds. made by grown ups. i cant describe how stuck i got with this dark at one point. buah. insane. dont wanna hear about dark anymore.
