Hi there guys!

Soon i am going to buy two Pioneer CDJ 100S and a Pioneer Mixer 300M and i really need your advice concerning the speakers i should purchase.

I am not producing any music at all and i need those speakers in order to listen my psy trance music and to use them for improving my mixing skills, but mostly for listening purposes i guess.

I am willing to spend up to 1000 Euros MAXIMUM and i would like your help before deciding what i will buy!

Thanks in advance people           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

spare 500 euros and buy some cds or (better) extern dj-filters/effects for this money.

you can get very good monitors(studio-speakers) for a bugdet of 300-500 euros. anything behind there would be a pure waste of money, because you need just monitors, not frequency-microscopes for mastering applications.

a studio-monitor is about to give a clean sound which shows all the frequences exactly whithout any boosting or something else, this is important for a producer who needs to fit his elements exactly in the sound-spectrum.

for a dj speaker it is important to listen the exact ratio between the 2 tracks (or maybe 3 if you arecarl cox) and the subfrequence-mixing is very important so subwoofers would be very helpfull to get a feeling for deep bassmixing. (by the way: any problems with neighbours?)
fact: 2 monitor + 1 subwoofer for not more than 500 euro is far far enough for djing and listening. man and you could even produce with such a setting.

good choice would be:

(BX5 + another low budget subwoofer for 200 €)

Kitnam like i already said i dont produce music at all (at least not in my home and not without the help of others hehe) and i need those speakers just for listening and mixing purposes.

Some people say that i shouldnt use monitors for listening and mixing purposes because monitors dont boost the music like you said,is there such a big difference? To be honest i already like listening my music somehow 'flat' without much bass and boosts.

I already checked your suggestion and i am waiting for some more from other people in this place

Thanks in advance

P.S PLEASE NO MORE CDS FOR ME,i dont even have a place to put them not to mention time to listen to them all hehe.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

If you want to use it to check your mix and have good clear sound i wouls say you should test some studio monitors. I f you by them activ you dont need any extra amplifire.

So if you spend round about 500 ¤ look at event
ps 6, m-audio, or samson.

If you really want to spend 1000 ¤ or more look at genelec.

good luck

Ok here is what i have found so far.

A)Mackie HR624 for around 900 euros a pair.

B)Yamaha MSP5A for around 460 euros a pair. These two seem like a very good deal has anyone tried them out?

C)Genelec 1029APM for around 800 euros a pair.Heard Genelec is very good company, any comments?I also checked Genelec 1030APM for around 1300 euros a pair.Well they sound preety expensive to me but do they worth all these money?

D)Alesis ProLinear 820 DSP for 800 euros a pair. These look too good, any comments on them?

As you already noticed these are all active monitors cause i found them better than passive ones and more handy to be honest

So any suggestions?

Hey Detox... I listened the Mackie HR624 and found it not so good, specially for mixing purposes... This speaker sounds very flat, but not so power as others with same 6" woofer...

What about the Dynaudio´s ones?           LOADING...

Actually a friend suggested me Dynaudio BM6 but the active model is way too expensive and the BM6P cost something like 700-800 euros a pair but i need an amplifier with that so i guess the cost goes up to a 1000 euros.

So far what i see is the best is the Alesis offer has anyone any experience with them?           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

My opinion is to get the best u can. For 1000 euros I think u can get a Tannoy Reveal Active, the Mackie HR-624 or Dynaudio BM5A.

For sure it´s way better than Samson/M-Audio/Alesis/Roland...

But my opinion is about music production, not playing with cdj´s.

And must say u are a lucky guy who can afford monitors like this only to play with the cdj!           LOADING...

Hahahaha!

Maybe for this purpose(I presume mixing is only cd playback) could be intersting look for "stage monitors"(don´t know if that´s the name). I think the price is very similar. And u will have more sound.           LOADING...
