My new room needs new speakers. It's a small room (8x12x7). I'll be setting up along the 8' wall. My workstation is 4' across so the speakers will be about 1' or so from the walls in the corners.
I will be mostly working on electronic (trance, ambient, etc...) and "modern" orchestral (think RPG computer game soundtracks, or Hans Zimmer styled movie scores), so "low end" does matter. The only ones I've been able to actually hear have been the Dynaudio BM6A MKIIs and they for sure sounded a lot better then the Mackie HR 824s I am currently selling. My budget is stretched for the P22-As but possible if I really had to. I am also open to other suggestions for speakers.
It's very hard to do this with out being able to actually hear the speakers. Thanks a ton for the help! |

That would be nice but the cost is way over the others. For example, the Adam's are 2500US and the klein & Hummel o300 are going to be 4400US for the pair. I would like to stay under $2500US. |

I think the P22a's are too big for a small room.
I've got Genelec 8040s.
Works o.k. in my small room, and good low end, but to my ears the highs are exaggerated and synthetic. 7/10
I'm currently considering a switch to Adam A7s with Sub8. |
