I need to buy a new Soundcard...the money i got to spend on it... $200.

what do you need?
How many analog inputs and outputs?
What digital inputs and outputs? AES/EBU, SPDIF, ADAT?
Do you need wordclock or not?
Do you want external or internal?
external could be useful if you used it on a workstation AND a laptop...

I have Usb Quattro it is an external sound card it is very good! Check it out.

i have Usb Quattro in my laptop and i dont know why,but i have many problems with him(lots of click in the background) maybe try Audiophile,i heard he is better?!

yeah, i have a friend with the dmx 6 fire terratec and never had any probs...
i've heard some other probs with the Quattro also
I 've got the audiophile and never had any probs works fine, but ony 2 inputs 2 outputs + midi... (+spdif but i don't use it), however, if u want to upgrade later you can use more delta cards together with the audiophile.

What spec card you looking for?
Good entry levels are M audio 2496, 44, etc and I personally like the dmx6 fire.
Check out ebay. you could get something really nice there for what you want to spend!

i have dmx fire , no problems so far in 2 years almost, very stable good for the price, clear sound real good converters real 24bit |

Don't EVER consider the Audigy or any Creative/Sound_Blaster!!!
The only thing you will do is waste your money...
I can't recommend one because I'm not experienced with prices.
