I don't know if you want to call it house, psy-house, fidget house or whatever. But this reminds me of deadmau5 or crookers. Mostly I was trying to focus on just the drums and bass instead of just worrying about the lead and melody like I usually do. I also gave a bit more attention to the overall structure of the song and used samples(a first for me!).
Let me know what you think! Any advice is welcome.
It is of course unfinished. I think I can say the first part is complete but when it changes at the end I plan to break it out into a more psytrance like track.
I put this together this morning when my roommate kept telling me I should make a new song and I said "I don't know what to make!". So I forced myself to try something and this happened, I was quite pleased.

A simple like or dislike would be enough.

i don't like the style but besides it you have lots of work on the sound. the levels and the sounds you have chosen. the bass is too loud and i don't like the sound of it either. the kick is too soft. all the drums are not bright and punchy enough. you should work on it if you want it to sound more professional.

How do you recommend brightening up the drums?

the most important thing is you need to use good samples. be critical. after it to brighten the drums you need to use corrcetly eq's and compression (for the snare at least).but you need to understand that you have bigger problem here than just eqing. you need to set the levels of the faders better. and to use better sounds.

Well I would agree with you about the kick drum. As for the other ones I can't see how changing the faders would change much. I seems I just need better samples.
Now what specifically do you not like about the drums? Do they lack presence? Are they taking away from anything else?

the snare is weak. the hihats lacks presence.
the bass is way too loud at the mix. it eats all the other sounds.

hi ! Sorry about my English, a translator helped me.. so imagine ... xD
The samples are important, without a good basis you never get a spectacular sound,
on the other hand, I leave here some tips that I use to get more presence in all aspects of percussion sounds.
1. Trying to find the best sample for your song.
2. For each sound separately, add 1 eq to remove low frequencies, tipically don't cut
the kick, snare / clap around 200Hz, Hit hats around 500Hz ... so always test each
sound and do not hold presets, each sound is different and it takes almost nothing of
time to prove where the cut looks good.
3. Once you put the equalizers, add
compressor, it is inadvisable put snare and hithat with the same compression, the snare
should be compressed with the same settings that the kick. Here i put values "default"
for that you may have an idea, simply put as a reference.
Other percussion instruments are governed much by personal taste ... try different
types of compression test and choose the one you like best.
4. I always record it in audio, to release some charge of cpu, with the maximum volume
without as to distort. Then I link the channels to a reverb because I like to
change the parameters of the reverb while working on a song. Normally I normalize all
the audio files.
to give it more punch and try some rare punch effects, you can try the Sonalskis
Tbk3, always is curious to see what it does but for my taste usually it is excessive.
I hope you can haver helped a little!

@elesede Thank you so much, that is exactly the kind of advice I was looking for. I have never used compressors much but I applied the settings you recommended exactly and now am finally getting a sense of what compression is for. I use it on nearly all my drums (sometimes instruments, but rarely since I like to keep the dynamics).
But anyway, I did what you told me and the whole track definitely sounds a bit fuller or brighter.
This is exactly like the other one except with compressed drums and I reduced the bass a little bit.

Would you please elaborate orange? I will admit that the speakers I use are not that great (I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with the sub, it is really muddy) and the room is technically part of my kitchen so the acoustics may be poor.
But what exactly about the mix are you referring to?

your sounds feel all over the place.. not well balanced and equalized.
the bass is dominating the mix and the rest are strugling for space.
all the other sounds feel kinda hmmm sloppy?

A bit easier said than done hearing it on better systems. I guess I should mention that I'm a full time student and only ever give my music attention in my spare time and not to mention am on a very tight budget as is everyone I know. Good sound systems are a little scarce around here.
One thing I would like is a spectrum analyzer. I have used some demos of really fancy expensive ones but I just need something simple to help my eq'ing and patch design . Anyone know a good and simple, most preferably free, spectrum analyzer?
