Hey, I noticed Solstice has a new website... http://www.solstice23.com/
I think its better than the last one. Much clearer!
Also different is they dont have "other party" listings page anymore or links to other organizers.
I think this is a smart move for them. The underground parties are wonderful in Japan and hurting the big organizers. You know, business is business! Vision Quest were also very smart to close their forums when they got all the bad posts about the "Infected Mushroon No Shows Lies" last year.
If anyone in Japan wants to list their "psy" party, you are welcome to send your party url to info@psy16.com

Is the next step for Solstice to get some "fresh" acts?
I wish Solstice the best of luck for the future!
I wonder in scenes around the world, do organizers co-operate and help each other or do they compete against each other.
This Summer season in Japan is getting interesting! I hope all the outdoor parties become more innovative and interesting! Make your parties "fresh" again!!!

That was an invaluable resource, a real shame they've removed it. We really need a central repository for Japan Trance party info. Ken, I hope Organisers take you up on your kind offer.
How difficult would it be to add a friendly front end so people can key in their event details directly ?

For me, I am sort of shocked they removed the Other parties section. Actually a bad move I think on their part.
That was probably the biggest reason why people went to the Solstice site.
But from a business point of view I can Understand.
Lets see what happens. |

Well I think the main reason people in Japan and overseas went to that site was for the other parties section . It was a valuable resource , not only for party information , but for venue information , promotion and networking in the scene . So , they can shove their new poxy site where it hurts... |

well maybe they move that link...cause soon here in japan...
maybe is no more venue to do partys!!!all big ones start
closed!so...soon we dont have to do big promotion...cause
there is only clubs for 500 ppl only!and i dont know for this summer ken...sounds strange!if they close the veneus for psy trance cause police problems...for sure we have problems
at outdoor 2!i mean the big ones...for small partys ok i think!
i dont know man...this summer i want go out overseas...
cause this kind of wories at partys just stress me! |

@mad: go to Bangkok. If lucky you will see open parties in the middle of busy streets in Bamglaphu. Lots of Swedish making some progressive sounds out of sound systems of pubs and bars.

i think only clubs in tokyo are having trouble.
outdoors in Japan is still amazing! that's where the real parties are!!!
500 at an outdoor party is fine by me. Its enough for great vibe and energy on the dance floor. That's all i need.
