Hi!

Yeah, I'dd catalog this is morning psy, somewhat a little after full-on morning, but that's just labels, you shouldn't really care about that.

Regarding the tunes, in my opinion they need more production, so you should bass over the whole tune a couple of times having certain criteria in attention to enhance the tune.

For example:
-the first pass I'd recommend you do is pass over the whole tune having the drums in attention: try hopping from every 16 bars to the next one, and you'll hear the exact same perc loop going on. Ok, you are only using one drum kit (hehe multiple can be used in a tune ), but in many acoustic bands the drummer only has one kit available to play, but nevertheless a good drummer can create really interesting patterns with only a simple kit. So pass over the whole tune thinking as a drummer, and see if your drummer is "having fun" or "bored of playing the exact same pattern". Tip: usually when a drummer get too dulled out, or to enhance a certain pattern transition, he might incorporate breaks - using anything available, say like toms And, a drummer only has 2 arms and legs;
-the second pass you could be the beat - cause when the beat is on (not in a break), in psy the kick isn't part of the drums, but glued with the bass (again, IMO), so pass over the tune with the beat in mind: can should the beat go on a break, in a certain point does the kick want to do something nice and interesting, like trip or fold on itself? When this happens, the bass bust give way for the kick, so does the bass have something to say? What about reverse kicks, could we use them to enhance certain beats? can we also use any element from the drums to help enhance the rhythms (like using cymbals with the kick - "Azax style buildups")?
-and again for certain instruments, or certain frequency spectrum (like the highs, mids, lows), etc.
