This time I decided to go more "mainstream" lol, your regular proggy sound of Zyce,Nerso, and so on...Gotta learn the basics first

Here is the first demo

What you think?           From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

Hi there!
I think there is still lots of room for improvement here:
- the kick is difficult to hear. If you want a zyce style kick make sure it has more mid top end and more attack!
- the bass is very low or just really difficult to hear. Make sure it is also snappy and tight! (see bassline topics).
- the highhats are difficult to hear as well. pull up the volume a little.
In general it all really sounds very undefined and a little dull. Give it some sparkle by choosing brighter sounds.

What monitors are you working on? And do you have any room treatment in your studio?

good luck and keep going!           soundcloud.com/supergroover

I think the kick and bass are inaudible. Now i don't necessarily think you need professional studio monitors (at least not at that level) but you sure need a pair of speakers that don't put too many effects on the sound spectrum. Actually the track sounds like you did it while having pushed the eq of you your speaker all the way up on the low area and thus the bass you were listening while producing is completely fake. Maybe you're using a 2.1 speaker system with a sub that is over the top?
Anyway, i think you should start by trying to find how your speaker system translates in other systems. Make some short loops using different eq settings, export them on a usb stick and go have a listen at your car, or at a friend's sound system, even in laptop speakers and choose the version that translates best and keep using those settings. Once you got a fair amount of money and you still wanna keep writting tunes go out there and get yourself a nice pair of monitors.

Cheers!            Peace, Love, Death metal

I know how generaly stuff sound on my speakers, (I did that thing with comparing my shit in different places many times allready, drove couple of folks crazy because of it)
that is really weird....

Maybe that it is because I rendered it so the loudest sound peaks in -12 DB or so?I hear it just fine in my speakers, and other tracks as well. Can it be because the volume is low?

Now that I look on it,the wave on soundcloud looks weird, gotta get to the source of this problem...

i like the snippet. good hypnotic vibe, nice sounds.

the baseline sounds a bit off from the timing imho and the pad sound in the end also sounds a bit off where it is placed.

other than that, make more of it and bring back a whole track           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel
