Hallo everybody…just was wondering what your opinion is about more and more ppl moving into the progressive scene from psy trance. And I mean the real progressive scene (Nukem, Chab, Marc O Tool, Satoshie Tomiie etc…)
Personally i found my self into this as a natural progression of my 9 years journey into psy trance music. It was like a river that was flowing and it ended up into progressive… similar I saw and see many ppl having the same way as me (before and after me. Some ppl who did this first and influenced me are Xavier and Mark Allen. On the opposite ppl from the more full on goa scene are taking a turn back past and try to keep same the more full on psychedelic sound. What’s your opinion to this phenomena??? For my self I have taken a one way ticket to this journey of music….don’t like to see things repeating so I go further…I just keep my values. Psychedelic is a higher state of emotions and feelings, a mystic journey… and can be found or created in every music you want!

Which side you are???

If I am in a club then sets by Nukem, Chab, Marc O'Tool etc. might be very enjoyable (at the right place, with the right crowd), if I am in nature then then I really need something else....

There is nothing wrong about progressive (not-chessy) music , it is club music and can be very very good..but it just does not work outdoors..speaking for myself at least....

As more and more trance parties take place in clubs, it is inevitable that the progressive sound will be mixed with psychedelic trance....

I wont go to the one or the other side...I am just following my music taste...Industrial techno stuff-progressive sounds and definitely downbeat tunes.Always according to the place, people that I have next to me and the mood at the specific moment!
Just dont like going with the flow!

And Kiou...U know that better than me:

It is the same thing from time to time comes into my head... But trance is for outdoor use only =)
Alex Candy right.

As for the club culture- it's not for me.

I agree with you guys .
Though over the past year I prefer to listen more psy than prog at home or in the car , psy trance drives nuts in a club i feel the sounds bounce to the walls and through my brain i cant stand listening to it for to long ,inside a club becomes painful irritating and unbearable.

I was among the first people who got fed up with full on and to embrace the prog trance sound when it appears, but after a few years and far to many outdoor parties I am back to the past.

Both styles though are getting repetitive boring and predictable and i would love to see the prog producers twist things a bit (just to add some spice) and full on producers get more funky and groovy
