Basically i've been mixing psytrance for a while now and have recently decided its about time i started making some of it. I have absolutely no idea where to start though. I have some experience on fruityloops (but not masses) making drum and bass and hiphop in the past, but that all very different from psytrance. I'd really appreciate it if someone could teach me some basics, especially in using VSTi's to make trancey kinda noises (holding out for the tutorials section to get filled up haha). i'll happilly learn to use different software if recommended, but will probably need more help on it (i chose fruityloops because its so user friendly).

yehhh i had a look at a few of those but i found them quite confusing. ill have a deeper look when i have more time but i been quite rushed today. |

Hi, and welcome...
As allready said, the "mother of..." are really good. Sure they are a bit comfusing and noget all info in them are good, but i really pays off to read them. They helped me alot.
Also i would recommend you to check out cubase, it´s a great program and most of the help here on isratrance applies directly to it.
If you decide to check out cubase you should have a look at this http://www.subconsciousmind.ch/scm/html/workshops/index.shtml
There is a complete psytrance track made only with cubase and freeware vst´s that you can download there. It helped med ALOT.
