man, that's some amazing composition work you did there.
it sounds like you have some unique performing abilities. the problem is that it sounds like an old computer game soundtrack, not like the current mega-super-tech we're use to get around here, but if that's your style, go for it. I would love to hear a real band playing it, like ozric tentecals.

I'm definitely not a fan of the current psysound, it's way too clinical, too predictable and too boring for my taste. I think psy went all wrong back in 1998 or so...
And yes, I definitely have a weak spot for old computer game music
Lots more of my goa-electro-happy-sunshine-oldschool sounds can btw be found at http://www.aavepyora.net |

me likes it alot!!some of the sounds are very poorly defined tho.....it misses a bit of 'punchyness' and power(dont mean power in terms of speed or 'the typical rollin' basline)...would be amazing if u could define and work on the beats a bit--mess them up if u know what i mean, u can transform it into some very twisted psyexperimental electronica trance ...but it maybe that u wanted it to sound like that
great work anyways
  Why u little !!! |

I'm not a big friend of those ultra-sharp & tight percussions that are so popular in today's psytrance.
I try to have a bit of a rough edge to tracks I do, or at least have lately tried...
I was listening to some old 60 garage one day, and realised that it often sounds a lot better than modern records made in megabuck studios with extreme care...
Dunno. It's a bit like modern architecture, really... Some people like the glass & concrete sci-fi thang, I'm more into the intricate stone/woodwork where you can really see the signtature of the artist |
