After MM's last mediocre (at best) outputs, 'EAT ME, DRINK ME' and 'The Golden Age of Grotesque', I sort of lost faith in MM's musical genious. 'tGAoG' had a couple of Ok to decent tracks on it, granted. But the 'EM,DM' album was just awful, nintyeight prosent terrible, I listened to it once and put it away to get dusted.. I mean, I bought a Special Edition version of it which contained two remixes of the radio hit (pff..) 'Heart-Shaped Glasses'. It was two Euro-Dance/House remixes. Yeah, I almost puked. Hoping it it, was a joke from the man, I fear the joke is on him in the end. Terrible stuff, vomit. He's gone all to much Hollywood, artistic (which shouldn't be a bad thing). I was hoping that a MM would fuck with the goverment some more, especially since conspiracy theories are in the wind regarding 9/11 and all. But oj, he's done it before in his GOOD releases.. He started going all absinth and artistic after 'Holy Wood', which with time, has for me proven to be a Really good album! I guess in his own words from the (yes) kool track, 'This is the New Shit' Quote: Everything has been said before
There's nothing left to say anymore

..continues in a fun way:

When it's all the same
You can ask for it by name

Babble babble bitch bitch
Rebel rebel party party
Sex sex sex and don't forget the "violence"
Blah blah blah got your lovey-dovey sad-and-lonely
Stick your STUPID SLOGAN in:

Today I heard he'll release a new album in the end of 2009, and the title is supposed to be 'High End of Low'. I fear the well spoken social rebel has destroyed his brain on too much amphetamin and that his neurocells has burned away. But since this man has helped me, and a lot of people to get a sense of self respect, to believe in one self, I can only hope to get positivly suprised by his new work. Twiggy is back!! Which is Great news. Here's for hoping *

Marilyn Manson in a Rolling Stone interview:

What the hell is Marilyn Manson up to, you ask?

"My new record is done, man," he tells the S.S. "It's called The High End of Low - it's a self-described state of being that I'm in. You're going to be fucking freaked. It's the shit."

Manson is currently in the mixing process - no word yet on a release date - and this month he'll shoot the album's first video, for the tune "I Want to Kill You Like They Do in the Movies." "It's nine minutes long," he says. "Severely sadist. Basically, it's murder, sex, death, the end."
While we're in Los Angeles for the Grammy's, we'll drop by Manson's pad and get the full scoop.

There ya go.

- So what about you, any hopes, any thoughts?

I liked what he did in mechanical animals, but he has become very repetitive and a cliche of himself.

The same goes for Trent Reznor which new albums have also sucked.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

That's what happens to musicians when they loose their woman

I didn't listen to anything Manson after Holy Wood. I like that whole trilogy, but before and after it's all crap in my book.           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

haha yeah, guess so. Loosing love And loosing/burning braincells = bad album. The trilogy with AntiChrist SuperStar, Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood was excelent, great music in those albums! I also love the earlier work, Portreit of an American Family & Smells Like Children (Which has some technosih remixes of POAAF and also some creepy dark acidish tracks).

Buddha Monkey, not wannabee, IS. I mean, the man Does deserve some propps for his contributions and on his um former intelligence (?). The man was a rebel With a cause, the man created vitally important balance in the system (imo) and he was a former journalist, where he actually also worked for Rolling Stone. He managed to challange a lot, and I respect him for it. Someone had to go that far.

sometimes you need to look further then the book cover.

what book cover? I looked into him heaps back whenhe was such a new wave.

I agree, outside of his music he is a very intelligent and clever person.

I just never saw his MUSIC as anything special.

Any credit outside of mechanichal animals should go to Trent anyway

who didnt prove to be a lot better than manson lately.

But his live shows that are fucking good ones I must admit nevertheless           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

i cannot understand all the fuzz of this comercial music.Boring is a too high term for it of course only in my taste .Tainted love cover .. .. hes look is interesting but thats all for me.I know so many tracks but no one has a sort of killa energy or atleast a bit of real power.But.. he has nice statements! And interesting drawings.I agree with Buddha Monkey. He is probably a way harder than britney spears.Cheers!

I like the fact that he isn't pretentious about music in general.

He provides support for all genres, even including some of the extreme metal bands.

And his statements are full of thought and truth rather than acts of rage or frustrated anger.

He should have been a politician instead

Seriousl, he looks ikeh'd be a fascinating blokke to spend an evening chattng over soem nice scotch whiskey with, but wouldn't go to his concert or buy his music, never did anything much for me.

Am glad some people enjoy it though
